DETROIT, MICH. ~ Throughout the country, Black History Month serves as a time to reflect on our history. This weekend, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History will be celebrating that history with an event titled ‘Cards and Culture: Spades.’ Happening Friday night, this event connects the past with lived traditions.
“At the Wright Museum, we recognize that a large portion of our work centers around preserving history, but we also celebrate culture,” VP, Marketing & Communications at the Charles H. Wright Museum Desirae Tolbert said on ‘JR Morning. “And when we think about the Black community and culture and history, we’ve gotta tell the whole story. It’s part of what our everyday lives look and feel like, and so we celebrate that.”
