DETROIT, MICH. ~ Detroit City Council President James Tate was appointed to his position just last month, but has already shifted focus to Detroit’s biggest needs. On Focus with Paul W. Smith, Tate pushed the thought process for putting residents first when dealing with issues of finances and safety. “We have to, as the City of Detroit, ensure that it’s very clear that we are open for business for those who are in the city as well as those who are looking to come to the City of Detroit,” Tate said.
