DETROIT ~ On Jan. 1, Michigan‘s minimum wage saw an increase of $1.25 due to a minimum wage increase law signed the prior year by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
The standard minimum wage went from $12.48 to $13.73, with the wage for tipped workers increasing from $4.74 to $5.49. The minimum wage in Michigan is set to continue increasing at the start of the next few years.
