LOS ANGELES ~ Federal authorities have claimed they thwarted a terror plot, arresting four people who were allegedly planning to target major U.S. companies.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said the four arrested are part of a group titled the Turtle Island Liberation Front, a group described as anti-capitalist and anti-colonialist. The group was arrested while allegedly traveling to a desert location to test IUD devices in preparation to plant them across southern California for a New Year’s Eve attack.
The criminal complaint also claims the four discussed targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and vehicles. They are being charged with conspiracy and possession of an unregistered destructive device.
