DETROIT, MI ~ Edmund Bambas, an 88-year-old Army veteran who worked as a full-time Meijer clerk in Detroit was struggling to pay off his debt until a social media influencer, Samuel Weidenhofer, posted his story to TikTok with a GoFundMe link. The video went viral, and over 50,000 donors helped raise over $1.7 million. Bambas was presented with the check on Friday, Dec. 5.
