Usher, Detroit Native Big Sean Donate to Michigan Central Boys & Girls Club

Dec. 5, 2025 ~ R&B star Usher and Detroit rapper Big Sean announced a $1 million donation to Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan Thursday. The money will be used to launch the Detroit Entertainment Innovation Incubator which will be housed by the Michigan Central Station. The project, featuring a production studio and more, is expected to be complete by February 2026. Shawn Wilson, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan joined “‘JR Morning” to share more.
