DETROIT, MI ~ WJR‘s own and Detroit Lions‘ legend Lomas Brown is pushing to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame. For the first time since he has been eligible, Brown was named as a semifinalist Tuesday, along with 25 other players for the 2026 class. Brown was the sixth-overall pick in the 1985 NFL Draft, and started the most games in NFL history at offensive tackle (251). The seven-time Pro Bowler has already been selected to the College Football Hall of Fame. Brown played a vital role during the 1991 playoffs for Detroit, blocking for Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders during the Lions’ NFC Divisional round victory over the Dallas Cowboys. WJR Digital Sports Reporter Nick Lundberg sat down with Brown to talk about his journey towards the gold jacket.
