DETROIT ~ On Thursday, WJR honored ten women leaders in Michigan at the 2025 Women Who Lead Honoree Lunch.
The 15th annual Women Who Lead Lunch took place at Joe Muer Seafood inside the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit, recognizing the work of various women in local nonprofits and businesses. The honorees were interviewed live on WJR’s “Focus with Paul W. Smith” with guest co-host Luanne Thomas Ewald. Each year, WJR chooses 12 women to feature in its monthly program, “Women Who Lead,” hosted by the station’s Program Director Ann Thomas. The women honored at the event were:
- Dr. Sonia Hassan ~ Founding Director of the Office of Women’s Health at Wayne State University.
- Laura Huot ~ President and CEO of The Guidance Center.
- Carol Zuniga ~ CEO of Hegira Health.
- Dr. Ora Pescovitz ~ President of Oakland University.
- Krista Tanner ~ President of ITC Holdings Corp.
- Megan Spanitz ~ COO of the Detroit Regional Chamber.
- Karen Arondoski ~ Owner of I.F. Metalworks.
- Kerry Doman ~ Founder of Little Guide.
- Micheline “Micki” Maynard ~ Long-time journalist based out of Ann Arbor.
- Kelly Wolgamott ~ Vice President of Pure Michigan.
- Dr. Sharman Davenport ~ President and CEO of Turning Point in Macomb County.
- Tiffany Ford ~ President and CEO of the University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU).
