Anti-Muslim Protests Result in Clashes in Dearborn

DEARBORN ~ Small clashes occurred in Dearborn on Tuesday evening between anti-Muslim protesters and counterprotesters. Several protestors marched to Dearborn City Hall, with the city having one of the largest Muslim populations in the country, while voicing opposition to “Sharia Law.” Sharia refers to a set of rules that help Muslims follow the values of Islam. Scuffles broke out when Jan. 6 rioter Jake Lang attempted to burn a copy of the Quran before they were swatted out of his hands by counter-protestors.
