WAYNE COUNTY ~ A new report explained how a wrongfully convicted Wayne County man was sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. In a recent press conference, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy and members of the Wayne County Sentinel Event Review Team found that multiple agencies were responsible for Eric Anderson being falsely charged and convicted of armed robbery in 2010 when he was 20 years old. The conviction, which saw him spend nine years in prison before he was released in 2019, was based on one discredited eyewitness and no physical evidence.
