DETROIT, MI ~ Detroit‘s riverfront is one step closer to booming after the city approved $75 million to join a $1 billion investment from Dan Gilbert and his real estate company Bedrock Wednesday. General Motors is also putting in $250 million as part of the $1.6 billion redevelopment plan. Gilbert, in for Paul W. Smith on 760 WJR, spoke with the incoming CEO of Bedrock Jared Fleisher about the plan for this space, reimagining empty areas of the Renaissance Center with public spaces while further connecting downtown to the Detroit River.
