DETROIT, MI ~ United States President Donald Trump has made tariffs a large part of his policy since he has been back in the Oval Office, and now he wants to reward Americans with a $2,000 dividend from the returns on the tariffs, according to his Truth Social post on Sunday. There are still ongoing discussions about who exactly will be compensated, according to U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, but he speculated that it will be for families who make less than $100,000.
Senior Vice President and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and Northwood University Dr. Timothy Nash shared his ideas about the proposal on “Focus with Paul W. Smith.”
