The Edmund Fitzgerald Sank 50 Years Ago

LAKE SUPERIOR ~ Monday, Nov. 10 is the 50th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald freighter sinking, becoming a legendary tragedy for the Great Lakes region and forever immortalized in a folk rock song. The Edmund Fitzgerald sank in the cold waters of Lake Superior in 1975 after the ship was caught in a winter storm that saw extremely high waves.
