LANSING ~ Michigan gubernatorial candidates are raising large amounts of funds in their bids to replace outgoing Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in 2026.
Campaign finance disclosures released this week show that Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson had $3 million cash on hand as of Oct. 20, leading the Democrat primary. Former Attorney General Mike Cox led the GOP primary with $3.8 million cash on hand, and independent candidate Mike Duggan had $2.4 million cash on hand.
