Oct. 21, 2025 ~ The Detroit Lions (5-2) came into Monday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) with only one starting defensive back due to various injuries. Despite this, Detroit forced two turnovers and only allowed one touchdown in the 24-9 win. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs carried the load on offense, tallying 218 total yards and two rushing scores.
“The defense played lights out,” Head Coach Dan Campbell said after the game. “They competed, they challenged. An outstanding defensive performance.”
The Lions will have a bye week before hosting the Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field for an NFC North contest.
