Oct. 16, 2025 ~ On Wednesday, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced that a new transportation hub will be created in the recently revitalized Michigan Central Station, including an inner-city bus station and passenger rail hub. The proposed project will see around $40 million in initial investments, with Michigan Central, the Michigan Department of Transportation and the City of Detroit all collaborating on creating the hub.
