PLYMOUTH, Aug. 22, 2025 ~ The LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship tee-ed off from The Cardinal at Saint John’s Resort on Thursday, Aug. 22 as some of golf’s biggest stars took center stage in Michigan for the first LIV Golf event ever in the state.
Six teams advanced through the quarterfinals on the first day of match-play, including Legion XIII, led by captain Jon Rahm. They took a 2-1 win over Cleeks GC while Bryson DeChambeau‘s Crushers GC similarly defeated Majesticks GC 2-1.

(CONTINUED) Phil Mickelson‘s HyFlers GC swept Fireballs GC 3-0 in the only undefeated route of the day. Brooks Koepka‘s Smash GC outlasted Dustin Johnson‘s 4ACES GC by a score of 2-1 to move on as well.
Saturday‘s semifinals will feature a 10:15 a.m. shotgun start before match-play wraps up around 2:30 p.m. Shortly after, the Imagine Dragons will take the concert stage in an exciting preview to Sunday‘s stroke-play championship round.
