DETROIT, Aug. 16, 2025 ~ The Detroit Lions returned home to Ford Field for the first time this preseason, undergoing the third tune up exhibition against the Miami Dolphins. Miami ultimately came up with a 24-17 victory Saturday afternoon after Detroit failed to punch it in as the clock wound down.
Rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa continued to dazzle, scoring a highlight worthy touchdown over the top of a Dolphins defensive back. Fellow rookie wide receiver Jackson Meeks also had a big day, leading the way with seven catches for 93 yards and a touchdown.

(CONTINUED) Backup quarterback Kyle Allen continued to impress, completing 14-17 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Fellow backup quarterback Hendon Hooker struggled once again, throwing an interception on the potential game-tying drive.
Rookie defensive end Ahmed Hassanein left the game in the third quarter with an injury. Head Coach Dan Campbell said after the game that his recovery time, “could be a minute.”
The Lions will be back at Ford Field next Saturday, Aug. 23 to wrap up the preseason against the Houston Texans at 1 p.m.
