DETROIT, Aug. 7, 2025 ~ LIV Golf is shaking up its season finale with a new format designed to deliver more drama, strategy, and star power across all four days of competition.
The 2025 Team Championship will be held August 22–24 in Plymouth, Michigan and will feature all 12 remaining teams in action, starting with a Wednesday play-in match and eliminating first-round byes.
The championship begins August 20 with a single-elimination match between the 12th and 13th-seeded teams. From Friday through Sunday, fans will see match play followed by a stroke-play finale, with all 48 players competing. Captains of higher-seeded teams will also gain a strategic edge by viewing their opponents’ lineups before finalizing their own.

(CONTINUED) Sunday’s finale will determine final standings based on team stroke-play scores, with the lowest score among the Championship finalists earning the title. The event also promises concerts, family-friendly activities, and premium hospitality experiences.

With a global footprint and a growing fan base, the league continues to push boundaries, offering a fresh take on professional golf that appeals to both traditional fans and newcomers alike.
