DETROIT, July 1, 2025 ~ The Detroit Pistons are signing former Atlanta Hawks guard Caris LeVert to a two-year, $29 million deal in their first major roster move of free agency.
LeVert played four seasons for the Michigan Wolverines and was selected with the 20th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
The Pistons have had to navigate numerous changes to their guard positions early in the offseason. The futures of Malik Beasley and Tim Hardaway Jr. with the franchise remain uncertain. Beasley was recently accused of betting on NBA games, and the Pistons have not decided whether to re-sign Hardaway Jr.
Backup point guard Dennis Schröder is officially signing with the Sacramento Kings.
