Detroit Lions Add Talent Up Front in 2025 NFL Draft

DETROIT, April 29, 2025 ~ The Detroit Lions used four out of the team’s seven draft picks on offensive and defensive lineman in the 2025 NFL Draft. The first two selections included Ohio State defensive lineman Tyleik Williams and Georgia offensive guard Tate Ratledge

Detroit selected Ratledge with the 57th pick in the second round. The All-American and two time National Champion started nine games last season for the Bulldogs.

The Lions traded two of next year’s third round picks to move up to pick 70 to draft Arkansas wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa. The Hudsonville native started his career at Division II Hillsdale before transferring to the Razorbacks. He ranked fifth in the SEC with a 19.5-yard average per reception. TeSlaa is listed at 6 foot 4 and runs a 4.4 40 yard dash.

(CONTINUED) LSU offensive guard Miles Frazier, Boise State defensive end Ahmed Hassanein, Georgia safety Dan Jackson, and Georgia wide receiver Dominic Lovett rounded out the day three picks for Detroit. 

Frazier adds offensive line depth while Hassanein becomes the first ever Egyptian player to get drafted into the NFL. Jackson and Lovett will have a chance to make the roster through special teams reps. 

Rookie minicamp for the Lions will take place on May 9-11 at the Lions practice facility in Allen Park
