Helicopter Tour Company Breaks Ground on New Facility at Coleman A. Young Airport

DETROIT, April 9, 2025 ~ Michigan helicopter tour company MyFlight Tours broke ground Wednesday on its new 12,000-square-foot facility at the Coleman A. Young International Airport.

The project is the first commercial construction project at the airport in over 60 years, with the facility offering sightseeing tours, a bar, and event space, while growing into charter services. “Detroit has played such a meaningful role in our journey,” Sergio Troiani, co-founder and co-owner of MyFlight Tours, told a crowd at the groundbreaking ceremony. “We’ve flown tens of thousands of passengers right here in the city, local and visitors alike, each one getting a chance to experience aviation in an unforgettable way.”
