EAST LANSING, March 7, 2025 ~ No. 8 Michigan State basketball (25-5) officially clinched the outright Big Ten regular-season title Thursday night on the road against Iowa, winning 91-84.

After earning a share of the conference earlier in the week, the Spartans used a massive 33-6 run in the second half to complete the comeback and claim head coach Tom Izzo’s fifth outright title.

Freshman guard Jase Richardson led all scorers with 22 points, shooting an efficient 7-13 from the field. Junior forward Jaxon Kohler followed with 15 points and six rebounds, while senior guard Jaden Akins also chipped in 15. Akins did much of his work during the double-digit second-half comeback, knocking down 3-pointers in transition off turnovers from the Hawkeyes.
