How Many Promises Has Gov. Whitmer Kept?

MICHIGAN, Feb 5, 2025 ~ Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has made dozens of promises throughout her State of the State speeches, but how many has she fulfilled?

Bridge Michigan reporter Laura Gibbons helped write an article diving into these promises, finding that Whitmer has fulfilled 26 of 48 of her promises, partially filled six promises, failed 10 of them, and still has six yet to tackle during her final two years in office. Her successes include providing free community college, passing red-flag gun laws, and granting LGBTQ+ protections, while falling short on government transparency reforms and fixing Michigan roads.
