DETROIT, April 18, 2024 ~ The NFL Draft is less than a week away and preparations are in full gear, with art installations being put up around the city and restaurants pulling out all the stops to welcome guests from all over.

Downtown attendees can’t miss the 20, 5-foot-tall painted cleats sitting around the city, each painted by a local artist as part of the DeCleated project, led by City Walls and the city of Detroit. Phillip Simpson, who has a cleat outside of Huntington Place, said his cleat was designed with joy in mind. The cleats will be offered for auction and proceeds will go to local charities.
