LOS ANGELES, Nov. 13, 2023 ~ Many Detroit football fans proudly claim, “This is our year.” That statement holds true after the Detroit Lions thriller win on Sunday.
In a fast-paced match against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Lions were able to come out on top 41-38, scoring a last-minute 41-yard field goal by Riley Patterson.
Offense was booming on both teams, running touch down after touch down each possession.
Jared Goff played calm and composed, throwing 333 passing yards and creating opportunities to score. Star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was Goff’s favorite target, running 156 total yards, plus a touchdown. Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery were a dangerous duo, leading the team with 193 yards and three touchdowns combined.

(CONTINUED) The game was neck and neck until the final moments. With the last possession, the Lions made a drive down the field, executing conversions to create the opportunity for the game-winning kick.
Overall, Dan Campbell led an aggressive attack, coaching the team to victory.
The Lions are now 7-2, leading the NFC North and tied for the second-best record in the NFL.
