760 WJR Honors 2023 Women Who Lead At Annual Lunch

DETROIT, Nov. 18, 2023 ~ On Wednesday, 760 WJR recognized eight women in Michigan business and community leadership by honoring the 2023 “Women Who Lead.“

The 13th annual Women Who Lead Honoree Lunch took place at Joe Muer Seafood inside the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit, highlighting the work of various women in nonprofits and the clothing, medical, furniture, credit, and jewelry industries. “Focus with Paul W. Smith” aired live from the lunch event

Each year, WJR chooses 12 women to feature in its monthly program, “Women Who Lead,” hosted by the station’s Program Director Ann Thomas. The women honored at the event were:

  • Ahee Jewelers Lead Designer Pamela Ahee-Thomas.
  • Common Ground President and CEO Heather Rae.
  • Judson Center President and CEO Lenora Hardy-Foster.
  • Cornerstone CFCU President and CEO Heidi Kassab.
  • Ascension Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Nishtha Sareen.
  • Gardner White Furniture President Rachel Stewart.
  • George Gregory men’s clothing store founder Caitlin Riney.
  • The Peacock Room owner Rachel Lutz.

U.S. Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin (MI-7), Sarepta Therapeutics Senior Director of Medical Managed Care Dr. Leslie Zanetti, Detroit-based photojournalist Linda Solomon, and General Motors Vice President of Global Hardware Systems and Integration Michelle Gardner were also featured under Women Who Lead this year, but could not attend the event.

Nov. 18, 2023 ~ Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Nishtha Sareen talks to Paul W. live from the Women Who Lead Honoree Lunch about minimally invasive heart care, heart problems affecting women, and procedures to restore blood flow to the heart.


Nov. 18, 2023 ~ Common Ground President and CEO Heather Rae talks to Paul W. live from the Women Who Lead Honoree Lunch about the 24-hour crisis services agency, which helps inspire more than 80,000 young people and adults each year to move beyond the trappings of grief, abuse, addiction, thoughts of suicide, and other impairments.
