EAST LANSING, Oct. 11, 2023 ~ Fired Michigan State University head football coach Mel Tucker was issued a temporary restraining order from the woman accusing him of sexual harassment, barring him and his legal team from releasing more of her private text messages.

An Ingham County judge granted the order Friday after sexual assault survivor and prevention advocate Brenda Tracy filed a complaint over Tucker’s legal team releasing nearly 100 pages of text messages between her and a recently deceased friend, attempting to discredit her accusations against the former coach. She and the judge said Tucker’s legal team, who said they had more documents, obtained the messages illegally and put employees and sexual assault survivors associated with Tracy’s nonprofit, Set the Expectation, at risk.
