DETROIT, Oct. 3, 2023 ~ The Detroit Pistons revealed their training camp roster Monday, along with the team’s first injury of the season.
The Pistons held its annual media day Monday, where Head Coach Monty Williams, General Manager Troy Weaver, player Cade Cunningham, and more spoke about their expectations for the coming season. Weaver also said the roster has enough depth to sustain injuries, coming shortly after the announcement that player Isaiah Livers sprained his ankle, keeping him out of action for 6-8 weeks.
Williams said the team’s mix of veteran and young players to build a team is going to create a “competitive” training camp to determine the roster depth.
“I look forward to putting guys in environments where they can have a fair shot at competing for minutes,” Williams said.
