DETROIT, Sept. 25, 2023 ~ The Detroit Lionsshowed up” and “showed out” in their battle against the Atlanta Falcons, improving their season record to 2-1.

After the tough loss against the Seattle Seahawks, the defense rallied and stepped up their game. Not only did the Lions shut down running back Bijon Robinson, a massive offensive threat, but they also annihilated the Falcons offense with a total of seven sacks.

Impressive as is, it was also the first time six different players have posted a sack in a single game since November 24, 1991.

(CONTINUED) Despite the victorious 20-6 win, the Lions beat themselves over with a multitude of faulty penalties. If not for the 10 offensive penalties equating to 119 yards and resulting in four first downs for the Falcons, the Lions could have celebrated with a bigger win.

Hopefully, the Detroit Lions can learn from their mistakes, maintain their winning streak, and defeat the Green Bay Packers as they travel away for the fourth season game on Thursday, September 27, 2023.
