OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, January 5, 2023 ~ The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their search for a driver who hit and killed a 22-year-old man on New Year’s Day.

Michigan State University senior Benjamin Kable was walking, or possibly standing, along southbound Rochester Road, when he was struck and killed.

It’s one of those tragedies that really hits home for any parent,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard told 760 WJR’s Paul W. Smith. “The young man had gone to a party…was going to Uber home…was struck by a car, and that car left.”

Somebody knows this person…somebody knows this car…please help this family have some closure.”
