ANN ARBOR, October 31, 2022 ~ Saturday’s game at The Big House saw No. 4 Michigan remaining undefeated, beating the Spartans 29-7.

The first quarter ended with the green and white leading with seven points, though they did not see any additional points for the remainder of the game. In a controversial second period decision, the Spartans went for a run instead of kicking a short field goal on a fourth down to tie the game, solidifying their position behind Michigan at halftime.

Michigan kept their momentum through the second half, scoring an additional 16 points, including a career-best 54-yard kick by Jake Moody, placing the Wolverines ahead 22-7 in the start of the fourth.

We need to play a full 60 minutes,” said Michigan State Football Coach Mel Tucker following the game. “We didn’t do that. We’re very disappointed.”
