Saturday, April 23, 2022 ~ Detroit Tigers Designated Hitter Miguel Cabrera has become the 33rd player in MLB history to attain 3,000 career hits. The highly anticipated hit came in the first inning Saturday as part of the Tigers’ Comerica Park series against the Colorado Rockies.

This career achievement also makes Cabrera one of just seven players who have attained both 3,000 career hits and 500 career home runs. That list includes MLB greats Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Eddie Murray, Rafael Palmeiro, Albert Pujols and Alex Rodriguez.

Hear below 760 WJR’s Chris Renwick commemorate both the moment and the career-to-date of this Tigers great as part of this past Saturday’s “SportsWrap.”
