Crumbley Parents Missing Then Found

December 3, 2021 ~ The Oakland County Fugitive Apprehension Team spent much of the afternoon looking for the parents of the alleged Oxford High School shooter.

Attorneys for James and Jennifer Crumbley said today that they were prepared to bring their clients to authorities after they were charged with four first degree manslaughter charges this afternoon by Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald. But when the charges were announced, the Crumbley’s lawyers say they couldn’t get a hold of them.

December 3, 2021 ~ WJR Senior News Analyst Chris Renwick talks with Guy Gordon about James and Jennifer Crumbley being charged with involuntary manslaughter, and the speculation that they subsequently fled before their arraignment.

Each count of first degree manslaughter carries a maximum of 15 years behind bars. 

Now, the Crumbley’s are coming back to face the charges. Crumbley’s lawyers, Shannon Smith and Mariell Lehman, say their clients left their home the night of the shooting, in fear for their own safety, but are returning to face the charges.

The Crumbleys left town on the night of the tragic shooting for their own safety. They are returning to the area to be arraigned. They are not fleeing from law enforcement despite recent comments in media reports.”
