WASHINGTON DC, November 5, 2021 ~ President Biden and the Biden Administration have revealed a new vaccine mandate to take effect January 4. The mandate will use OSHA to force all companies with more than 100 employees to require employee vaccinations, weekly COVID-19 tests for those who are not vaccinated, and possible termination and fines for those who do not comply.

Fines can reach up to $14,000 per violation, and the weekly tests may have to be paid out of employee pockets.

At some point we just have to say, ‘let’s trust the American people, give them the information they need, but we are a country based on freedom, not top-down, one-size-fits-all, federal government control,’” said Congressman John Moolenaar to 760 WJR’s Kevin Dietz.

November 5, 2021 ~ Congressman John Moolenaar talks with Kevin Dietz about his bill that would block funding for the President‘s vaccine mandate.

At the end of the day, they are saying now it is 100 employees. There is nothing that prevents them to going to smaller businesses and creating more burdens for people who are just trying to keep their heads above the water after going through these challenging last few years.

Friday, attorneys general from 11 states filed a lawsuit against the Biden Administration, saying that the mandate is “unconstitutional, unlawful, and unwise.”

For over a century, the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized that policies on compulsory vaccination lie within the police powers of the States,” read the filings. “The federal government lacks constitutional authority under its enumerated powers to issue this mandate.”

The mandate was first announced in September, though the details on the mandate were not released until Thursday. The new mandates are expected to cover more than 80 million workers.
