June 27, 760 WJR will begin coverage of the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic. The third year of the annual tournament will take place at Detroit Golf Club from July 1 through July 4, and 760 WJR is proud to bring you LIVE coverage.
- Sunday, June 27 ~ Spin on Golf will broadcast LIVE from The John Shippen National Invitational, presented by Rocket Mortgage. The John Shippen aims to create opportunities in golf for black men and women, ensure his story is told and preserve his tremendous legacy, which is one of black history, but also of American history. - Monday, June 28 ~ From 6 – 9 a.m., Paul W. Smith covers the first round of The John Shippen National Invitational.
- Tuesday, June 29 ~ The Area 313 Celebrity Scramble presented by CDW takes place at Detroit Golf Club holes 14 through 16. This is a charity exhibition aiming to make the trio of holes \”The Most Charitable Three Holes in Golf.\” Participating PGA Tour pros include reigning RMC champion Bryson Dechambeau, and PGA Tour icon Phil Mickelson. Celebrity participants include Michigan State Men\’s Basketball Coach Tom Izzo, and former Detroit Lions Running Back Barry Sanders. There will be no coverage of this event by 760 WJR.
- Wednesday, June 30 ~ Coverage of the Delta Dental Pro-Am will take place throughout the day. From 6 – 9 a.m. Paul W. Smith will bring coverage. Kevin Dietz will cover from 9 a.m. to noon. From 3 – 5 p.m. Guy Gordon will cover the event
- Thursday, July 1 ~ The First Round of Play begins. Guy Gordon covers from 3 – 5 p.m.
- Friday, July 2 ~ The Second Round of Play. Guy Gordon covers from 3 – 5 p.m.
- Saturday, July 3 ~ The Third Round of Play will be covered from 6 – 7 p.m. during the Saturday episode of SportsWrap with Chris Renwick.
- Sunday , July 4 ~ The Final Round of Play will be covered during the Sunday episodes of SportsWrap with Chris Renwick from 6 – 7 p.m., and Spin on Golf from 7 – 8 p.m.
