A little bit more about Jay:

When I reflect on a moment that I am proud of, I think of …

\”I think of starting The John L Group with my brothers in memory of our maternal grandfather John L Smedley.\”

As I continue to grow, I am hopeful for …

\”A greater Flint community, a more enlightened youth, and bridging generational gaps.\”

During my free time, I …

\”Read, spend time with my family, and watch Discovery +.\”

If I could give advice to my 20-year-old self, I would say …

\”Pay attention to your thoughts, be confident in who you are and why you’re here, offer grace both to yourself and others
Never abandon your integrity, and no matter what happens, it’ll be ok.\”

20 years from now, I see myself …

\”Continuing the work I’ve been set out to do.\”
