Detroit Police officers shot and killed a man who opened fire at them at two separate locations.
Police say the man had shot and killed a 28-year-old woman in a child custody dispute, and fired at officers as they responded to the shooting. He fled, and the man drove up to the 5th precinct building on the east side, and began firing shots at the police station with a rifle. He got into his SUV, and was quickly surrounded by police. Chief Craig there was an exchange of gunfire, and the man was killed. No officers were wounded. One officer was slightly injured by flying glass when the gunman shot out the windshield of a police car.
