The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services temporary new restrictions in combatting the upsurge in corona virus cases take effect tomorrow.  The latest figures from the state show that the increases are continuing unabated.

Yesterday, there were 12,763 new cases reported and another 55 deaths. The new figures means the state has now had over 8-thousand deaths from the virus. The exact figure is 8,049.

63 of the new outbreaks reported were in the state’s K thru 12 schools and colleges. This is up from the 50 outbreaks reported last week. Under the new restrictions from the state, all high school and college in-person instruction has been halted for the next three-weeks.
