Mich CV Nears Peak; Canada Says Stay Out

The number of corona virus cases in Michigan are continuing to rise. State health officials reported 2,909 new cases yesterday with 21 additional deaths. The daily increases are on track to make October the largest month for new cases since last April when the virus was peaking. 27 of the new outbreaks were reported in schools. Spring Arbor had the most with 21 cases.

The Canadian government has extended its ban on non-essential U-S travel for another month, until November 21st. The Trudeau government has been under pressure from the airlines and tourism industries to loosen the restrictions, but Public Safety Minister Bill Blair said the restrictions will continue to be based on the best public health advice available in keeping Canadians safe from COVID-19.
