Mich CV Spikes

Growing concerns about the corona virus.

Michigan’s top medical official, Doctor Joneigh Khaldun, reports there has been a sharp rise in the number of COVID-19 cases and those needing hospitalization in the past week. The state reported 1,237 new cases and 30 additional deaths yesterday. Doctor Khaldum said state residents did a great job in reducing the number of cases following a surge this past spring, and those efforts must be repeated. She pointed to actions such as wearing masks and social distancing. She warned that with more people gathering indoors more often due to the cooler weather, this adds to the risk of a new surge.
