Ford Extends Work-At-Home; You Can Go To The Movies Today

The Ford Motor Company is following suit with an earlier decision by General Motors to keep its North American white-collar employees working from home until next June. The move will affect some 32-thousand Ford workers. Fiat Chrysler has not yet announced any decisions on its remote-work plans

State health officials report there were 1,197 new cases of the corona virus and 22 deaths. The state has now recorded 6,869 deaths among its 132,039 cases.

It’s been a long time coming. Critics say too long. Governor Whitmer has now given the go-ahead for movie theatres, performance venues, arcades, bingo halls, bowling alleys, indoor climbing facilities, amusement parks and trampoline parks to reopen today. There will be limited capacity and mask requirements. Businesses will have to keep records of those entering their facilities so that they could be contacted in the event of a new outbreak. Most venues have indicated they will be reopening slowly with reduced hours at first.
