New CV Cases Flat; Schools Lean To Online In The Fall

HEALTH OFFICIALS SAY THERE WERE  557 NEW COVID 19 CASES AND 8 ADDITIONAL DEATHS IN MICHIGAN.
THE NUMBER OF CASES HAS RISEN TO NEARLY 88,000, THE DEATH TOLL STANDS AT 6,257.
New cases have plateaued in the last two weeks, while deaths remain flat in Michigan. Testing has remained steady, with an average of more than 25,000 per day, with the positive rate between 3 and 4 percent.

Michigan has reported 63,636 recoveries.

More school districts are choosing to start the school year online. Utica, Dearborn, Wayne-Westland, South Lyon school boards have voted to hold virtual classes to start the school year. More school boards will meet tonite. Some districts are starting by giving parents a choice between in-person or online for their kids.
