New North America Trade Deal Coming

Movement is speeding up on a deal to replace NAFTA.

Congressional Democrats and the White House are on the verge of agreeing on final details of a new trade pact. The US-Mexico-Canada Agreement will replace NAFTA, but it must be passed by lawmakers in all 3 countries. Mexico has approved it. Canada is waiting for the US.
Some big unions were not on board, but Nancy Pelosi signals that a deal is imminent.

General Motors sent out a note to retirees and company alumni asking them to contact their members of Congress, calling the the USMCA vital to the future of the auto industry.

The companies think the agreement modernizes the principals of NAFTA, and Pres. Trump indicates it follows his aim of America First.
