U-M Coach Beilein Leaves For NBA

A shocker in college hoops.
The coach of the  Michigan Wolverines goes to work in the NBA for big Michigan State booster Dan Gilbert. John Beilein has agreed to a five-year deal to become the next coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
ESPN reports that Beilein informed U of M this morning after working out the deal over the weekend .
Beilein’s teams at Michigan went 278-150 over a 12-year span that included two trips to the national title game, two Big Ten titles and two Big Ten Tournament titles. Beilein is 66.
