The Wayne County medical examiner is now trying to identify the remains of infants that were found hidden in the former Cantrell Funeral Home in Detroit. A family has sued the owners charging that they mishandled the body of a loved one in January. They were not allowed to see the body, and eventually persuaded to allow them to cremate the body. The family suspects it wasn’t the correct body.
The medical examiners will try to determine identities of the infants and stillborns, and how long the remains may have been there.
