Detroit Police were targeted by gunmen in an ambush on the east side.
Police were conducting a stolen car operation, when police say a car pulled up behind them on McClellan and St. Paul.
Police say a man jumped out of the car and opened fire.
Police exchanged gunfire. No officers were hit. They don’t know if the gunman was hit. Police say the gunman ran on foot. The driver of the car sped away. It was a beige or brown vehicle. Police used a helicopter and dogs to search for the shooter.
