The Grosse Pointe Farms interior designer who was attacked inside his home in March has died of his injuries. Daniel Clancy died Wednesday. Police say 49-year-old David Corzilius confronted Clancy outside of his home on Voltaire Place and demanded money, bound his hands with duct tape and forced Clancy to point out valuables in his home. Clancy was able to escape but Corzioulus ran after him and stabbed him in the neck several times. He’s been in critical condition since then.
Corzilius was charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, felonious assault, armed robbery, home invasion, unlawful imprisonment and larceny in a building.
