A protest is scheduled Monday evening in connection with a fatal Dearborn Police shooting. Organizers are calling it a ‘justice for Kevin Matthews’ protest. The 35-year-old was fatally shot two days before Christmas on the border of Dearborn and Detroit. Family members say Matthews suffered from paranoid schizophrenia since the age of 12 and was known to police, but always for non-violent issues. One witness told police Matthews struggled with police before he was shot.
