A preliminary examination is scheduled today for a Rochester hills man charged with shooting at his wife. 68-year-old John Piotrowski is apparently a gun lover, but a poor shot. His 69-year-old wife says she was talking with her husband in the bedroom of their home when he suddenly grabbed her and said he was going to kill her. She says she ran into the basement and called 911 and her husband followed her and fired two shots, but missed her. Police arrived and took Piotrowski into custody. Police say they searched Piotrowski’s home and found 145 guns, both rifles and pistols.
